Stocks or Wire Transfers

To donate with a wire transfer or stocks, please complete our Stock/Wire Transfer Form to notify us of your intention. We will provide our banking information upon completion of the form. You will then be able to initiate the transfer electronically or by mail with your bank or brokerage firm. Stock is valued by taking the average of the high and low prices on the date of the transfer.

Please note: Your contact information and special instructions for your gift are not directly forwarded by your bank. The Stock/Wire Transfer Form allows us to thank you for your generous support and direct your gift appropriately.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

If you are age 70 ½ or older and wish to make a qualified charitable distribution directly from your individual retirement account (IRA) to Good Reason Houston, call your IRA administrator to initiate the process. They may ask for Good Reason Houston’s address (8 Greenway Plaza, Suite 900, Houston, TX 77046) and EIN (82-0946654).

Good Reason Houston is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and all donations to this organization are tax-deductible. You will receive a charitable gift receipt for tax purposes upon completion of your donation.
