Frost Elementary School improves from D-rated to B-rated school, still has opportunities for growth

After years of low academic performance and a slow recovery since the COVID-19 pandemic, Frost Elementary School had positive year-over-year improvement in reading and overall quality, according to 2024 Texas Education Agency STAAR Aggregate data. The improvements were enough to elevate the school’s state ranking from a D to a B.

Comparable campuses that also underwent the transformation via the New Education System saw large improvements year-over-year in students meeting or exceeding expectations in reading (+7 percentage points) and math (+8 percentage points). Frost Elementary increased by 1 percentage point in reading.
