Worthing High School earns highest school rating since 2018, improves math and reading scores

After dropping to its lowest rating since 2018 last year, Worthing High School has rebounded in a strong way to earn its highest rating in the past six years. Worthing High School had positive year-over-year improvement in reading and overall quality, according to 2024 Texas Education Agency STAAR Aggregate data. 

Comparable campuses that also underwent the transformation via the New Education System saw large improvements year-over-year in students meeting or exceeding expectations in reading (+7 percentage points) and math (+8 percentage points). Worthing High School increased by 11 percentage points in math and 12 percentage points in reading.
